Quality Improvement – Full day workshop

This workshop aims to introduce clinical staff to QI methodologies to facilitate their engagement in QI projects in care settings aimed at improving processes and mitigating errors in care delivery by adopting a systems approach to improve patient outcomes.

On completion of the course the learner should know

• What is quality
• What is quality improvement (QI)
• Awareness of the benefits of QI
• Understand improvement science and the evidence base theories that underpin QI
• Adopting or adapting a systems approach to care of a patient group
• Awareness of QI tool and methods
• and their application in healthcare
• Project work: Identify and work on a project to improve care outcomes of a chosen patient group.
