To increase staff understanding of the need for tracheostomy, and how to safely and effectively care and support an individual with a tracheostomy tube, and manage complications associated with use of tracheostomy tubes

• types of tracheostomy tubes
• Tracheostomy care, including tape and tube change, secretion management
• Emergency care
• Practical session.
